Colour
I experimented with different colours to both see what kinds of colours looked nice with the design, and to see what kind of feeling they gave. The design follows that the colour is based on the genre, so sci-fi might be green, and horrors would be dark brown or grey.
Opacity
This was purely for aesthetics.
