Auto-Ethnogoraphy - Taking the Washing Out of the Machine

As I stretch my arm out to take the washing from the machine I am first met with a sickly-sweet artificial flowery smell, however this fades as the clothes dry. Already I can tell they are fresh, for if they are left for too long the flowery smell is replaced with a stronger musty one that doesn't fade as much as the artificial flower one does. As I fish for the clothes my fingers make contact I can feel the cold damp sticky denim texture that clings to itself, and as I pull the pants out with the led, I hear the stiff peeling sound of the clothes resisting movement and the thick crackle as the trousers is deformed. Ounce the soapy cloths are pulled from the inside of the machine I can finally see them. I can see the dampened and discoloured clothing that now appears darker, and as I peg them down I can start to see the little indentations causing miniature ripples over the drying fabric.
