Experiment 2 - Glowing wheels

This idea was based on the use the colour and pattern of lights being used to draw attention as illustrated in older posts. I first did some quick early tests to see how the lights worked and what looked nice.

After seeing what kind of shapes and style produced the best results I, with the help of my girlfriend, started pouring through the glow stick I had bought. Some of what I learnt seemed counter-intuitive, for instance I found that reproducing the same shape in the same place on the wheel didn't work so well since as the wheels spins, since the pattern overlays and is thus lost. I found it was much better to layer different shapes and colour so they would mix in an interesting way that actually produced a pattern that wasn't a plain band of one colour.

In my early attempts I found that the idea didn't really work, however through this process I managed improve my technique, finally producing something I believe befits the mood of glamour. It was definitely a head turner when I took it out into public one night for a brief ride.
